The Chancellor of Soul, Mike Boone pictured far right with the legendary Delfonics and friend Steve Nicholas. Major Harris (who joined the Delfonics in 1972 and recorded the 1975 classic hit 'Love Won't Let Me Wait') is pictured far left, William Hart is in the middle and the late Randy Cain is featured second right.
'La La Means I Love You' composed by Thom Bell and William Hart, charted No. 2 on Billboard's R&B Singles the week ending March 23, 1968.
The song's inspiration came from William Hart's infant son who use to sing 'la la'. Those two syllables inspired Hart to compose 'La La Means I Love You' as a love song.
Peaceful Journey, Randy Cain and thanks for the wonderful memories and music. | © 2011 YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066 |
